Briar (Faulkner) Geraci, LCV 05 married in May of 2006.  She has officially changed her name, so from here forward, you'll see her as Briar Geraci.  Briar had her first baby, Merrick, in March of 2007, and second baby, Calia, in August of 2008. 

Shawnna Trombetta, LCV 02 has launched a new internet site promoting business connections - CVBizNetwork.com.  She is the CEO and COO of the site, which provides a weekly calendar of all business events in the valley.  Contact Shawnna at info@cvbiznetwork.com

Gene Hunt, LCV 01 is the co-owner of a new business called Heliotex.  Heliotex has patented and is coming to market with a new product, an automatic solar panel cleaning system, that allows solar panel owners to maintain their maximum output and avoid power loss of 20% or more due to dirt and debris on the panels.  Heliotex also sells panel security fasteners.  You can contact Heliotex at 800-280-6976.

Valerie Zugates, LCV 06 is now with UBS Financial Services in Indian Wells.

Mitch Blumberg, LCV 09 reports that because of his LCV experience,he has generated a proposal to help bring more film production to the desert.  He is working with the Palm Springs Resorts Conventions & Visitors Authority, and the Palm Springs Women in Film & Television, and Market Street Services (the consulting firm being used by the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership) to attract student filmmaking here by way of $10,000 per film grants.  Another good example of Leadership Coachella Valley helping connect the dots for the betterment of the valley.  Good job Mitch!

Anar Patel, LCV 06 has moved out of the area.  She is now the Vice President/Marketing Manager at California Bank and Trust.

Robin Costello, LCV 09 reports that she is starting her own business, EVENTERTAINMENT, LLC.  So if you're in need of corporate entertainment, call Robin.

Bob Hunt, LCV 03 is the new manager, with his wife Mary Beth, of the Desert Rose Retirement Community in Yuma, Arizona.  Desert Rose is an independent living retirement home. 

Carey Morales, LCV 04 is now the administrative manager for the Children's Discovery Museum.

Darlene Murphy, LCV 07 is the Senior Business Development Representative for Tower Group Companies in Palm Springs.

Darlene Dolan, LCV 01 has moved to Atria Hacienda in Palm Desert.

Sandy Sosnowski, LCV 05 has married.  She is now Sandy Seddon.  Sandy is the General Manager of Sun City Palm Desert Community Association.

Jim Brunner, LCV 07 completed his Masters of Science in Financial Palnning from the College for Financial Planning in October, 2008.  He previously became licensed as a Certified financial Planner in 1999.

Jennie Rayner, LCV 08 is now the Director of Member & Visitor Services at The Living Desert.

Jennifer Gomez, LCV 08 is the proud mother of Yesenia Alicia-Rae, born June 13, 2008.  Yesenia's birth was the reason Jennifer missed her LCV graduation ceremonies!

Patti Gribow, LCV 06 is busy with lots of projects - recently interviewing Michelle Lee, Donna Mills, Gena Rowlands and Rachia Jones at the Palm Springs Women in Film "Broken Glass" Awards.  She also recented taped shows with exotic animals from the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, Legendary "Star Maker" Gary Pudney, and a show themed dolphin therapy where they discussed the healing effects of swimming with dolphins.

Robert Smith LCV 08 announced that eIS Business Solutions was recently certified in QuickBooks Enterprise.  They has obtained Microsoft Gold Certification.

Maureen Byrne, LCV 01 has changed brokers.  She is now with California Lifestyle Realty in La Quinta.

Jason Lutz LCV 09   It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Lutz LCV 09, in an auto accident.  You are invided to honor the life of Jason Alan Lutz, Saturday, March 28th, 2:00 pm, at the Tack Room Tavern, 81900 Avenue 51, Indio.  RSVP with Ron Dean, 760-413-3151.

Cynthia Hernandez, LCV 08 was elected Indio City Clerk for another 4 year term.

Kathleen Ahlgren, LCV 08 was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Rilington Communities.

It was like a mini-LCV reunion.  At the College of the Desert's "Bridges to Success" K-to-College-to-Career Initiative benefit at the McCallum Theater on January 28th, COD President Jerry Patton LCV 06 made a presentation the the audience,  Martha Jimenez LCV 2006, representing Wells Fargo Bank, was on stage as a major sponsor, and Patti Gribow LCV 06 served as emcee.  Fred Dachenhausen LCV 06 and Dale Gribow LCV 05 enjoyed it all from the audience.

Andrea Carter LCV 07 has joined the Furino/Greene Creative marketing and advertising  firm, working with LCV 2007 alumnus and FCG Founder Stephanie Greene. Andrea will work on numerous accounts for FCG as well as be continue to be involved in outside public relations consulting and projects. 

Kathy DeRosa LCV 07, Mayor of Cathedral City and Public Affairs Manager for Southern California Edison, was re-elected to the position of Mayor of Cathedral City in November, 2008.   Mayor DeRosa will also serve as the Cathedral City representative on the Palm Springs International Airport Commission.

Alison Elsner LCV 07 has been re-appointed for a three year term on the University of Southern California Alumni Association ’s (USCAA) Board of Governors and the Vice-President of the USC Alumni Club of the Desert.  She has also been appointed as a Commissioner to the City of Palm Springs Parks and Recreation Commission, through 2009.

Andrew Starke, LCV 05 was recognized by Palm Springs Life Magazine as one of the Top 40 under 40 Business Leadershi in the Coachella Valley.  Also, his Palm Springs POWER received the City of Palm Springs and Palm Springs Chamber of commerce Small Business of the Year Award in 2007.

Kate Spates, LCV 06 has been appointed co-chair for public relations for the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission's Capital Campaign.

Attorney at Law, Gregory and Rhea LLP, has moved his practice to larger offices in Palm Springs.

Martin Lax LCV 04, Esq..
